So this a a new addition to my kit bag. The Andoer “table top” tripod, actually not so tiny, and fully extending legs, giving it some decent height. Looks and adjusts just like it’s more expensive option the Manfrotto version, which comes in at four times the price of this one. As far as I can see the quality is the same, so why spend more?
It comes with a 1/4″ mounting screw for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. A nice touch would have been a cheap cloth drawstring bag to put it in, but hey at this price I am in no way complaining.
It also doubles up I am told as a good DSLR selfie handle for vlogging.
Though only two settings, high or low! It’s very light and the bonus was it comes with a ball head mount for your camera, making it ideal for any angle photography.
I already have a rather heavyweight Jessops adjustable ball head mount for my monopod, but it is so heavy i find myself not taking it out with me, due to it’s weight.
The ball head and tripod are made from very Lightweight, durable and solid ABS plastic, this makes it strong and light. and fully detaches from the tripod head itself, making it very compact to travel with in the bag.
Many of the table top tripods I looked at had ridiculous weight limits, like only takes “Compact system cameras” or no more than a Kilo. Well the great thing about it is it takes a whole 2 kilo (4.4lbs) top weight, so strong enough for most peoples DSLR cameras plus long lenses, which to be fair is what you would need it for, that or heavy macro lenses. The tripod itself comes in at a tiny 290 grams or 10.2oz. its working height is between 13-23cm /5.1in-9in and when folded down comes in a an even tinyer 24cm /9.5in
So a good buy for little money and highly recommended.
